Knowledge base article and category ordering - naguibihelek - 08-11-2022

I want to first thank you guys for creating this product.
in addition to the ticketing functionality the Knowledge base is awesome and saves us a lot of time by answering questions for the users.
The ability to present articles in categories in a logical order would add a lot to this.
Often topics and categories have a logical order in which they should be read by the user.
I am using numbering as a way around - I think it works, but not very elegant.
Thanks again for your consideration.

Hey hey and welcome here Smile

Could you please define a little more detailed, how you thinking about realising it?
Adding an extra attribute into each article and sorted the aticle-listing related to this attribute would be a possible solution.

If it is not that time consuming, i may will work at it.
Every feature is good thing

Bye,
Luuk Smile

I was just thinking about this and how it is solved in other products. The easiest solution is to simply add an additional column called order to the articles hdz_table. Then the query for the articles can be adjusted to be ORDER BY order ASC, date DESC (or something similar). It would mean exposing the order column on the KB articles view but that shouldn't be too hard.
